Tech Parks Arizona includes three major branches:
The Tech Park: Recognized internationally as one of the top technology and research parks in the country, the UA Tech Park isa dynamic, interactive community where emerging companies and technology giants work side by side.
It is a 1,267 acre campus with 2 million square feet of space for high-tech offices, R&D, and laboratory facilities. It is a major employment hub with 100+ businesses and home to over 6,000 knowledge workers, making it an important economic driver for the region and generating $2 billion of annual economic impact which has grown annually over a span of 25+ years.
UA Center for Innovation: A startup incubator network with outposts across the Southern Arizona region including Oro Valley, Sahuarita, Vail and Biosphere 2. UACI provides access education, mentoring, service providers, industry cluster groups, interns, connections to potential customers and strategic partners, and access to physical spaces (ex. offices, wet and dry labs, meeting rooms, a prototyping center, collaboration areas). It also is a Soft-Landing designated site by the International Business Innovation Association (InBia). As a Soft-Landing designee, UACI provides the necessary accomodations to ensure that international companies experience a "soft landing" when entering a new country.
The UA Tech Park at The Bridges: The new UA Tech Park at The Bridges opened April 2022 with its first building The Refinery. The Refinery was named that because of its proximity to the talent and bright minds that can be mined from the University of Arizona. This building provides office space, ideal for business looking to connect directly with the University. The University of Arizona is the anchor tenant, utilizing 50% and creating a commercialization hub, a place where inventions are developed, and products are refined. This will be a place for invention development and product refinement. Activities include the University of Arizona Applied Research Corp., cyber operations research activities; the new offices for Tech Launch Arizona, the University’s technology commercialization arm; an incubator outpost and programming through the University of Arizona Center for Innovation; plus UArizona Research, Innovation and Impact with innovation space for students and faculty.
